What should you pay attention to when choosing a baby carrier?
When using a baby carrier, it is important to pay attention to some important safety considerations. First of all, make sure that your baby is seated correctly and securely in the carrier, with his head supported and his airways clear. You should also ensure that the baby carrier is properly adjusted to fit your body and distribute your baby’s weight evenly. It is also important that your baby’s face is visible and not covered by fabric or other material. The Re-Covers baby carrier offers you this safety.
Instructions for use Baby carrier and safety:
We recommend that you test the baby carrier the first time without a baby to ensure that everything works properly and to adjust the baby carrier to the correct width (small baby/larger baby):
- You carry the baby in the baby carrier facing yourself with the head on the chest.
- The hip belt: You click the clicker of the hip belt on your stomach at the front and then turn the clicker backwards. The smaller the baby, the higher you should fasten the hip belt.
- Baby seat, adjust the width: You can adjust the width using the elastics in the hip belt: the smaller the baby, the tighter you pull the elastics. You can lock the width with the push buttons on the elastic.
- The Shoulder Straps: The shoulder straps should be fastened crosswise. The left strap is clicked on the right side and the right strap is clicked on the left side. If you are right-handed, you must first fasten the left shoulder strap. You keep this a lot longer to easily put the baby in it. For left-handed people it works the other way around.
- After pre-setting the width of the baby’s seat, the tightness of the hip belt and the shoulder strap, the baby can be placed in the carrier.
- Three Secure Click Systems with additional security options through elastic. The first security option is that all clickers require a 3th pressure point to be pressed to release. The clicker is therefore only released by pressing with 2 hands. The other security option is to hook 1 of the 2 elastic bands behind the clicker.
- For babies with low birth weight and children with medical conditions, it is best to seek a medical advice before using this product.
Baby carrier washing instructions:
The Baby Carrier must be HAND WASHED to avoid damage to the secured clamps. If you do have to wash the baby carrier in the washing machine, wrap the baby carrier well in a pillowcase and wash it cold.
